Instructions for users of Mozilla Firefox browser (for other browsers refer to suppliers manual)

Choose the image you wish to use, then click on the correct resolution for your computer monitor. This should bring the image up on another page. Hover your mouse over the picture and right click your mouse. This should bring up a drop down menu. Select 'Set as wallpaper' or 'Set as desktop background' from the menu and a widget will appear. Set the Position to 'Centre' and then click on tab 'Set Desktop Background'. The image should now be set as your wallpaper.

To ascertain how big your screen is, shrink your browser window, then click with the right mouse button on an empty piece of desktop. A pop-up menu should appear. Then select 'Properties'. A box should appear with tabs across the top. Select the 'Settings' tab and on the right-hand side of the box,  look for 'Desktop Area' or 'Screen resolution' and this will tell you how big your screen is.

"Uckfield deserves to have the best when it comes to infrastructure, no better example of this is the case for improved rail transport. We have been systematically let down regarding developments to reinstate the link to Lewes and it is now time for steps to be taken to do something positive. Those who might try will never stop us, we will continue to fight for this vital initiative until we have safely secured the reinstatement of our railway."

Cllr Louise Eastwood, Mayor of Uckfield (February 2009)
